Terry Sheehan joined Michael Punch &
Partners in 1986. Prior to that Terry had spent a year in Ireland working as a
site engineer for a small contractor and as Assistant Resident Engineer on the
Redmond Bridge Replacement in Waterford. A twelve month period was also spent
in the Subway Structures Design Department of New York Transit Authority.
While working with Michael Punch & Partners Terry was very involved with
the Government Decentralisation Programme acting as structural engineer on the
decentralised offices in Galway, Wexford, Kilkenny and Waterford. Due to the
competitive nature of these projects, buildable and cost effective structures
were developed for each location.
Terry has completed projects across the entire spectrum of civil/structural
engineering including, Hoares Bridge in Co. Kildare and the composite
steel concrete bridge at Setrights Cross near Bunratty Co. Clare. Work
in the educational sector includes the new Business Innovation Centre
in Letterkenny Institute of Technology as well as a sand carpet pitch
on the same campus, numerous phases of work including a Sports Hall
at Kings Hospital School, new schools at Dungarvan Co. Waterford and
Drogheda Co. Louth. Terry has also completed a number of hotels and
associated car parking including Jury's Inn at Custom House Docks in
Dublin and the Jury's Inn at Christchurch in Dublin, the new Bewleys
Hotel at Ballsbridge and the Herbert Park Hotel at Ballsbridge.
